A historical, as well as a recreational site, two miles south of London on US 25.

The Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park, which saw the first mass migration of Americans from the Colonies to the Western Territories, consists of 800 acres with a museum and pioneer settlement.

Called the "Niagara of the South", this is a very popular tourist destination. The falls are 125 feet wide and drop 68 feet into the Cumberland River. Under a full moon and clear sky, you can see the only "moonbow" in the western hemisphere.

The visitor center is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
The visitor center is closed on Christmas Day. Park grounds and picnic areas are open daily.
The road leading to the Pinnacle Overlook may be closed periodically due to inclement weather including ice, snow, and lightning.

This huge national park, the first great gateway to the west, covers 20,000 acres in Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. It is the largest historical park in the nation. Follow the footsteps of early travelers along the Wilderness Road and experience the stories of the pioneer and the Civil War soldier.

Big South Fork Scenic Railway

The K&T Special departs April through October. Round trip times vary between 3 to 3 1/2 hours in length. All trains depart on Eastern Time and run rain or shine.
Ride the Kentucky & Tennessee Railway on a 16 mile round trip into the Daniel Boone National Forest and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area.
